Donate to our Scholarship and Bursary Funds

We welcome donations to our Refugee Scholarship Fund to continue supporting deserving refugee students who are furthering their education and are in need of financial support - please visit our donations page and select "Refugee Scholarship Fund" (from the dropdown menu)

General Information

Applicants applying for subsequent scholarships through the Saskatoon Open Door Society must submit an official copy of their grades from the previous term along with their application.

Successful applicants will be contacted by June 15. To be considered, please ensure that you have submitted all required information and documentation.

Updated information and applications for 2025 scholarships will be available on our website by March 21, 2025.

2024 Scholarships for Fall Enrollment

SODS Refugee Bursary

This is a $2000 bursary to support refugees or children of refugees who are pursuing a post-secondary educational program in Saskatchewan that is awarded based on need.

SODS Newcomer Scholarship

Our Newcomer Scholarship provides $1000 to support newcomers to Canada who wish to begin or continue pursuing post-secondary education in Saskatchewan.

Pearson Family Student Award

On behalf of the Pearson family, the Saskatoon Community Foundation, in partnership with SODS, is offering a $1000 scholarship for Immigrant Youth pursuing post-secondary education in Saskatchewan.
