Bridging Diverse Communities

Cultural Bridging fosters cross-cultural awareness between newcomers and the local host community, bringing together diverse cultural groups to share and learn from each other.  By providing cross-cultural opportunities such as workshops, presentations and events, bridges of understanding are built. This shared transfer of cultural knowledge and experience creates a more harmonious community where everyone can participate in the social, economic and cultural life.

For more information on cross-cultural learning activities, please email us at culturalbridging@sods.sk.ca.

Philosophy for Children and the Peace Project

Childhood Thoughtful Dialogue is a program with a focus on Philosophy for Children, which aims to nurture reasoning and critical thinking skills in children. They will learn how to engage in discussion and consequently improve their communication skills.

With similar goals to Philosophy for Children, the Peace Project focusses on artistic expression through paintings and sculptures, guided by artists and art educators. Participating families create their own artwork while engaging in conversations about peace.
