About RISE English
RISE English is a new language program for adults who want to build their English skills.
We are currently inviting learners to register their interest.
The first term will run from April to July 2026.
Who can join?
- Adults 18+ living in Saskatoon and able to attend in person
- Learners at approximately CLB 3–8 (level confirmed during registration)
- All immigration statuses welcome: Permanent Residents, Refugees, Work Permit Holders, International Students, Visitors, and Canadian Citizens.

Across All Levels, RISE Focuses On:
- Real-world communication for daily life, work, and study

Tuition & Dates
Tuition: $2,100 for a 4-month term
165 hours of study per term
- Term 1: April 6 – July 31, 2026
- Term 2: September 2 – December 22, 2026
- Term 3: Starting January 2027

Other Language Learning Opportunities
LINC Program
We offer Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada, also known as the LINC Program.
Conversation Circles
We hold Conversation Circles at different times and places around Saskatoon to provide newcomers with a chance to practise their growing language skills. Sessions are free and informal, and no registration is required.
Sometimes there are special Conversation Circles with more specific goals; for example, our Discover Canada circle teaches about citizenship.
English 4 Employment (E4E)
Provides employment-related English training to improve workplace communication skills.
SSWIS Summer Camps
Our Settlement Support Workers in Schools Summer Camps are targeted towards new immigrants and children from low-income families aged 6-10. The camp is focused towards providing educational and recreational activities for children during the summer vacation period.

What is a CLB?
A CLB, or a Canadian Language Benchmark, is a national standard for describing and measuring the English language proficiency of adult immigrants and prospective immigrants in Canada.
