Welcoming

Temporary Foreign Worker Program

At the Saskatoon Open Door Society, we are committed to supporting Temporary Foreign Workers (TFWs) as they settle, work, and build their lives in Canada. Our services are designed to help you adapt with confidence, access essential resources, and feel at home in Saskatoon.

The TFW-PCS (Temporary Foreign Workers Prairie Community Services) Program is funded by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) and delivered in partnership with the Calgary Catholic Immigration Society (CCIS).

How We Support TFWs

  1. One-on-One Support and Counselling
Our dedicated staff provide personalized guidance to help you navigate challenges and understand your rights and options.
  2. Online Information Sessions
We offer practical workshops on topics such as workplace rights and responsibilities, health and safety regulations at work, tax filing, and more.
  3. Assistance with Benefits Applications
We support you in applying for federal and provincial benefits, including the GST/HST credit and Canada Child Benefit.
  4. Help with Essential Documents
Our team can guide you through obtaining important documents such as Saskatchewan Health Cards, Social Insurance Numbers (SIN), and driver’s license.
  5. Referrals to Community Services
We connect you to trusted community partners and resources to support your settlement and well-being.
  6. Translation and Interpretation Support
Language should never be a barrier. We offer translation and interpretation services to help you access information and services with ease.

We are here for you every step of the way. If you are a TFW living or working in Saskatoon and in need of support, reach out to us.
