Alternative Career Exploration Support (ACE)
Alternative Career Exploration Support (ACE)
Our specialized support program is designed for internationally trained professionals who are finding it difficult to secure work in their primary field and are ready to explore rewarding careers in related industries. We provide expert one-on-one guidance to help you identify how your professional skills and credentials transfer to alternative career paths. By offering current labour market information and tailored Alternative Career Action Plans, we empower you to navigate the job application process with confidence and find a new professional direction in Canada.
Requirements:

- CLB 5+

Coaching 4 Employment (C4E)

Our comprehensive program is tailored for professionals seeking to align their Canadian career with their international education and experience. By offering a strategic mix of personalized one-on-one counselling, weekly readiness webinars, and exclusive networking sessions, we help you navigate the professional job market with confidence and secure a role that reflects your true potential.
Requirements:

- Basic computer skills and email address

Enhance your pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary while gaining valuable insights into Canadian workplace culture, Saskatchewan’s laws and culture, and essential transferable skills. Sessions are held virtually every Monday from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Express to Success (E2S)

Our fast-track program is built for those who require immediate assistance entering the workforce. Whether you are seeking a survival job or an entry-level position, we provide rapid support through targeted resume revisions, application assistance, and the development of a concrete job search action plan. We focus on getting you job-ready in the shortest time possible.
Requirements:
- Seeking immediate entry-level employment
- Must become a client with the Employment Services Unit (register below) or speak to their current ESU counsellor.
Individual Career Management Services (ICMS)
Individual Career Management Services (ICMS)
Our specialized guidance service is designed to help internationally trained professionals bridge the gap to Canadian licensure. We provide a clear roadmap for the credential recognition process, offering the expert support needed to navigate regulatory bodies and return to your professional field or trade. This program empowers you to reclaim your professional identity in Saskatchewan.
Requirements:
- Must become a client with the Employment Services Unit (register below) or speak to their current ESU counsellor.
- CLB 5+
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Professional education/training, qualifications or trade certification from recognized institutions outside of Canada
- Paid or unpaid work experience in a related field
- Requiring credential recognition to work in your field
- Preferably have been in Canada for at least six months
Next Level Career Program
Next Level Career Program
Our hybrid program is tailored to support skilled newcomers in advancing their careers. It offers a flexible blend of self-paced online learning, personalized one-on-one employment counselling, interactive group workshops, and drop-in services. With a focus on individualized support, this program is designed to help participants set and achieve their career goals with confidence.
Requirements:
- Become a client with the Employment Services Unit (register below) or speak to your current ESU counsellor.
- Open to permanent residents and open work permit holders who are unemployed or under-employed
- Must have formal education in your home country
- CLB Level 4+
Step Forward
Step Forward
Step Forward is a classroom-based employment training program designed for individuals with lower English language proficiency. The program focuses on developing essential life and employability skills, helping participants effectively integrate into the Canadian workplace.
Classes are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Requirements:
- Become a client with the Employment Services Unit (register below) or speak to your current ESU counsellor
- Open to permanent residents
- Less than Grade 12 education
- CLB level 2 – 4
Youth Employment Connections
Youth Employment Connections
Assists immigrant and refugee high school students to learn about legal working age in Saskatchewan and to become job ready for the Canadian labor market. Participants develop skills in the areas of job search, resume building, interviewing, and learn about the job application process. Students gain the confidence required to participate effectively in the labour market. Additionally, participants can enjoy opportunities to connect with local employers through job fairs and employer networking events. Ongoing follow-up support is provided for successful employment and planning for future education and training.
